Eagle’s Wings

I’ve found it to be a lot of fun designing with my pen and ink falcon’s wings. Adding wings to the back of a shirt and the Eagle image to the front makes for an interesting ‘flight of imagination’. Of course, the cool thing is a buyer could customize by changing the image on front or back, removing one, adding text…all sorts of things! After all, they could be Angel’s wings…
Since my daughter is very interested in birds of prey, I can’t help but think of these kinds of wing designs as perfect for falconers and falconry buffs.


at Zazzle recently announced an Africa themed contest. Though I’m not generally confident enough to enter contests, this one caught my imagination and I chose to paint an image of an African Elephant in Photoshop Element 5, using my own photograph as source material. I really enjoyed the challenge. In fact, I’ve begun another digital painting (this time of a friend’s Norwegian Fjord horse) already and have another one in mind. I’m finding my way around PSE5, with the help of my daughter! It’s so nice to paint in this virtual studio, where everything stays where it belongs and can (almost) always easily be found when needed! At the moment I’m experiencing a little stress when it comes to my physical studio. Just too much clutter in this open concept house. I have no escape, no retreat to hide from the demands of the grind to get started….ah well…that’s a subject for another day. Hope you enoy my
